COVID-19 and the consequences for T.S.K.V. Spartacus

COVID-19 has taken a very tight grip on the world, causing a global pandemic and ‘lockdowns’ all across the world. This has big consequences for many if not almost all people, and an organization like TSKV Spartacus is not excluded.

Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has forced us to cancel the NK Powerlifting Classic 2020 competition that our organization had been working on organizing. Besides the committee, university and KNKF not wanting the health risk, the Dutch government has also banned all public events until June 1st, 2020. This includes our NK Powerlifting. The KNKF has decided to end the 2019-2020 season and start anew in the next season.

The NK Powerlifting is not the only event of our that is being harmed by the coronavirus. Both our member’s weekend and clinic with Alexander Vermetten that had been planned out will be either postponed or cancelled until further notice. We sincerely hope to be able to host these events (and others) this academic year, virus allowing.

Please keep in touch with our social media Instagram and Facebook for updated information about events and T.S.K.V. Spartacus surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.
